By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Use of the App

The app is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Please notify us immediately at support@tryshelflife.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions

The app offers auto-renewing subscriptions managed entirely by Apple. Billing, cancellation, and refunds are handled through your Apple ID settings. We do not process payments directly. Subscription terms are displayed at the time of purchase.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within the app is the property of Arnaud Vanstraelen. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of any content you add to the app.

5. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Expiry date detection is AI-assisted and may not always be accurate. For items without a printed date, the app estimates a suggested date based on visual analysis — this is a guide only, not a guarantee. Expiry dates on packaging apply to unopened products only. Once opened, shelf life may differ significantly. Always use your own judgment when determining whether food is safe to consume. Do not rely solely on this app for food safety decisions.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app for violation of these terms, with or without notice.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
